Terms and Conditions
This agreement sets the T&C which members are to abide by, in order
to
use Writerlance. Should members at any time breach the T&C, Writerlance
may
terminate them from the network, and/or withhold any payments due to the
member.
QUALIFICATION NECCESSITIES
Writerlance will decide whether applicants are qualified or not for
membership, as well as extra features.
ELIMINATION FROM THE NETWORK
Writerlance has the right to delete any member from involvement or
site,
without reason, specifically if finding them in breach of the T&C
Members in breach of the T&C may be deleted without warning or
notice. All funds in your account will be lost if you are violating our terms and conditions.
Referrals
Referrals will be paid as soon as we verify buyers and clients( must log in to their account). At our descreation, we will either pay you in cash or credit to be used on projects.
PAYMENTS
Writerlance generally prints and mails cheques requested by the member,
as
long as their account balance equals, or is greater than $10 (this applies
to
payment through the PayPal service as well).We process payments twice a week. We verify all deposits and
withdrawals and may as members to verify their's. Refusel to do this via
e-mail,
fax, phone, etc may result in refunding of the payment, and or deletion of the
members account. Funds received from an account responsible for a fraudulent
deposit will be undone without delay. If in this type of situation a withdrawal
has already been done, the member in question will be expected to return the
funds, or meet account deletion. Writerlance at their own discreation may delete a members account
if we ( WriterLance ) feel a member is involved in fraudulent activity, all funds in said account
will may not be returned
and account will be deleted.
COPYRIGHTS
Writerlance does not allow posting of copyright material, unless it is a
section of a script (a section being no more than 1/10th of the
script).
MODIFICATIONS
Writerlance may modify the T&C as it sees fit. It is up to the
members
to check the T&C on occasion.
In the occurrence Writerlance gives any extra or substitute services then
this agreement shall be relevant to such services in the absence of any new
agreement explicit to such services which is entered into among the
parties.
PERSONAL INFORMATION
By signing up, members agree that the information they provide is
Writerlance's to view. Writerlance will NOT share this information with a
third
party.
CONTACT DISTRIBUTION
Members are not allowed to distribute their contact information (e-mail
instant messengers, phone, etc). The Private Message Box (PMB) may be used
instead.
PROVIDING CONTACT INFORMATION
You are prohibited from making direct contact with another member, unless it's for a project you (a writer) have been picked for, or you (a client) have picked a writer for. This includes giving out your e-mail address, ICQ number,instant messenger id, phone number, or any other method of contact outside of this site. WriterLance provides you with message boards, which should be sufficient for pre-project planning.Members are forbidden from providing contact information via PMB. The
only
exception to this is for Featured Projects. Clients who post Featured
projects
are allowed to post and ask for contact information. Writers who bid on
featured projects may also distribute contact information. Note that
Featured
PMBs and regular PMBs are not distinguished, so you will receive a warning
for
post contact information in them.
AVOIDING COMMISSIONS
Members are forbidden from negotiating outside of Writerlance directly
with
Clients who have ongoing projects, or who have closed projects, but
contacted a
member anyways.
Both sides are accountable for notifying Writerlance should the payment
quantity amplify after the project is closed. Receiving a larger amount than
the
original project bid, without notifying us, will be considered as an effort
to
steer clear of the commissions. When a writer requests a withdrawal, we
always review all payments received for every project to confirm that they
equal
the bid. If at the time of a withdrawal appeal the writer has failed to
notify Writerlance workers of a payment established above the quantity of
his/her bid (an overall payment above US $100), Writerlance holds the right
to
subtract double the fee for the quantity that ought to have been reported.
We
believe our commissions are extremely fair and reasonable for the service we
provide; therefore we will absolutely not stand any of this commotion on
Writerlance.
BIDDING
The bids Writers make must be for the entire project, and not for hourly
commissions, etc This is the same for Clients as well.
POSTING PROJECTS
New Clients are open to posting only 3 projects before they make a
deposit.
Clients are required to submit a deposited before becoming allowed to
post
unlimited projects. Clients may however, request a special number of allowed
project, under special circumstances.
FEATURED PROJECTS
The following settings have been made to put off mistreatment of the
Featured
project option on Writerlance. The utmost quantity of money a writer can
obtain for a Featured project, through the Writerlance network, without
being
charged is $2,500. Any amount received above $2,500 will be subject to the
typical charge of 5%.This applies only to payments made through the
Writerlance network. Failure to notify us could result in temporary account
suspension. The fee for posting a featured project is $20.00 USD
ADVERTISING
Members are absolutely forbidden from advertising their websites on
Writerlance, unless it relates to the project they are bidding on (Example:
a
portfolio site).
THE ROLE OF WRITERLANCE
Writerlance's function is to act as a network for connecting Writers, and
Clients in a cyber marketplace. Writerlance is completely neutral, and has
no
effect over accuracy, legality, truth, etc Writerlance is also not
responsible
for safe postings. It is up to the user to decide what is safe for them to
post,
as far as their well-being. Writerlance cannot be responsible for verifying
users, as Writerlance has no way to tell whether a user is really who they
say
they are. Writerlance is not responsible for fraudulent payments, and will
not
be held responsible for financial loss occur by a member on Writerlance.
